USCIS processing times are always changing, and in recent months many types of cases are experiencing longer delays than ever before. Immigration applications are processed at national service centers around the country (depending on where you live and the availability at certain service centers at the time of filing). To find out which service center is processing your application, check the bottom left corner of your I-797C Notice of Action, Receipt Notice issued by USCIS.
Current processing times for common family-based immigration petitions are as follows:
I-765, Employment Authorization Document (with pending I-485)
I-131, Application for Travel Document
I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status
N-400, Application for Naturalization
I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence
I-130, Petition for Alien Relative
Processing times vary widely based on the petitioner’s immigration status and how the petitioner and beneficiary are related. For up-to-date processing times, please consult our office or the USCIS website listed below.
