How do I contact the National Visa Center about my case?
As of May 23, 2022, the National Visa Center (NVC) has suspended its Public Inquiry Telephone Line. In the past, many visa applicants have used this telephone line to submit inquiries about their cases while they were pending with the NVC. It was an important tool for getting information about your pending case.
The NVC has stated that they suspended their telephone line in order to dedicate more resources to addressing critical backlogs, as cases around the world have been experiencing significantly long delays during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The NVC still offers online Public Inquiry form submissions for Immigrant Visa cases, here. The NVC encourages applicants to avoid submitting repeat inquiries. They also encourage applicants to thoroughly search the NVC and CEAC websites for answers to common questions.
In the event of an emergency, applicants should contact the NVC by email at [email protected]. In your email, make sure to include all the relevant information for your case and your emergency, as well as supporting documents for your emergency.
